creationism vs evolution

i like to consider myself as a philosophizer, and a christian man, so i was interested in learning one big heated debate: did we come from an intelligent design or evolution?

religion is based off two things: God creating everything around us, and jesus dying for our salvation

the theory of evolution- honestly this was difficult to research because there was so many theories that go into this theory but basically everything was created by chance (im sorry there wasn't a better way of summarizing)

believe it or not both are technically just theories, and does it really matter?

think of it this way:

religion- for beleivers it comforts us during hardships and the beleif that in the after life things will get better

evolution- helps non beleivers know that later inthe future that species will only progress (in the future we will become better human biengs that are well adapted to our current enviroment)

all in all we are all looking for comfort; life isnt about who is right or wrong, but about what we beleive in (as in, what ever helps us feel better and happier)

we shouldnt argue about where we came from or where we are going (in both religion and evolution we all started from nothing and will end up happier in the end)

imagine this: all through out our education we learn that the earth has a molten core and are taught that its a fact, but its just a theory (we never seen or have proof that its there but we beleive it so)

we arent that much different so why do we fight? religion is suppose to teach tolerance and understanding and science teaches us to not rule out any possibility and to improve our way of life.

so please stop fighting about this stupid subject its going to only slow us down and degenerate
